IMAT Score Calculator

Calculate your IMAT mock score, see the wrong-answer penalty and turn the result into a better practice plan.

Use this IMAT score calculator after a mock test or past paper. Enter correct and wrong answers by section, and the calculator will apply the latest checked scoring formula: +1.5 for correct answers, -0.4 for wrong answers and 0 for blanks.

This is a study tool, not an admission predictor. Cutoffs depend on the official ranking, seat numbers, category and university choices.

What your IMAT score means

The calculator gives you a raw score. It does not know your official category, first-choice university, ranking year or seat numbers. That is why a score should be used for preparation decisions, not emotional certainty.

Timing matters

A slow correct answer can still hurt the rest of the paper. Track where you lose time, not only where you lose points.

Wrong answers matter

The penalty means blind guessing is risky. Train when to answer, when to eliminate and when to leave blank.

Cutoffs move

Admission scores depend on rankings and seats. Use official calls and ranking data for final decisions.

Turn the score into a weak-area plan

A useful score review should end with a short practice plan. Start with the lowest section scores, then check whether the problem was knowledge, timing, calculation or question wording.

IMAT score calculator FAQ

How is the IMAT score calculated?
Using the latest checked 2025 format, the score is 1.5 points for each correct answer, minus 0.4 points for each wrong answer, and 0 points for blank answers. The maximum is 90 points.
Does this calculator predict admission?
No. It only calculates a raw test score from the scoring rules. Admission depends on official rankings, category, university choice, seat numbers and the year-specific call.
Should I leave questions blank in the IMAT?
Sometimes. Wrong answers carry a penalty in the latest checked format, so guessing every question is not always smart. Use timed practice to learn when a guess is worth it.
What is a good IMAT score?
There is no universal safe score. A score that is competitive for one year, category or university may not be enough for another. Treat the calculator as a review tool, not an admission promise.
Can I use this after a past paper?
Yes. Enter your correct and wrong answers by section after a past paper or mock test, then use the weak-area plan to decide what to practise next.
