How is the IMAT score calculated?
Using the latest checked 2025 format, the score is 1.5 points for each correct answer, minus 0.4 points for each wrong answer, and 0 points for blank answers. The maximum is 90 points.
Does this calculator predict admission?
No. It only calculates a raw test score from the scoring rules. Admission depends on official rankings, category, university choice, seat numbers and the year-specific call.
Should I leave questions blank in the IMAT?
Sometimes. Wrong answers carry a penalty in the latest checked format, so guessing every question is not always smart. Use timed practice to learn when a guess is worth it.
What is a good IMAT score?
There is no universal safe score. A score that is competitive for one year, category or university may not be enough for another. Treat the calculator as a review tool, not an admission promise.
