What your IMAT score means
One mock tells you how that paper went. Look at several timed results to see whether you're improving, and review the questions you missed. For admissions, compare the same university and applicant category. Cutoffs can change each year.
Timing matters
Did a few difficult questions leave you rushing at the end? Note where you spent too long and practise moving on sooner.

This calculator uses the scoring rules in the 2026/27 MUR decree (D.M. 1005) for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine in English: 60 questions in 100 minutes, with a maximum of 90 points.

How is the IMAT score calculated?
Multiply your correct answers by 1.5, then subtract 0.4 for each wrong answer. Blank answers add nothing and lose no points. Under the scoring rules in the 2026/27 MUR decree, the maximum is 90 points.
Does this calculator predict admission?
No. It calculates your test score and lets you compare it with published past cutoffs. Whether you get a place depends on your applicant category, university choices, available seats and the official ranking for that year.
Should I leave questions blank in the IMAT?
A blank answer scores 0; a wrong answer loses 0.4 points. If you can rule out some options, you improve your chance of choosing correctly. Practise under time pressure so you know when to keep working on a question and when to move on.
What is a good IMAT score?
It depends on the university, applicant category and year. Start by comparing your score with past cutoffs for your own category, then check how your scores change across several timed mocks. One result cannot tell you whether you will get a place.
Can I use this after a past paper?
Yes. After marking the paper, enter your correct and wrong answers for each section. The calculator works out your total and shows which sections to review next. This section breakdown matches the current test format.
